What is auto_ptr? 


 auto_ptr<int> p1 (new int);
its a template .Which provides the limited garbage storage for the pointer .its destroy the pointer when auto ptr destroy.Since auto_ptr takes the repsonsibilty of pointer which it points.it solve the problem of dangling pointer.
